Kelly:
- Experience is important
- has experience writing
- has experience shadowing, coming to meetings

- Interest in writing for writing's sake is also useful

- wants to continue the trend of her predecessors, but also has new ideas
- wants to increase the number of writers, including advertising the section correctly
- wants to increase the topic breadth for the travel features
- wants to increase communication between writers and columnists


Lauren:
- Currently the senior associate
- has experience with K4, working with writers, editing
- also a Graphics editor, but this doesn't pose a problem

- has new ideas
- wants to cover science and finance
- columnists should follow themes
- wants to make date lab, a la washinton post


Marissa:
- has worked in lots of sections, but has found her niche in life because she likes student life

- doesn't have the same experience, but will view the paper as her job, and something she wants to be proud of

- english background - gives her ability to read critically, reading not only for grammar and content, but also puns

- wants to truly reflect the breadth of all the undergraduate students
